$35.00

Instructor:  Joy Wishtun, Jefferson Center for Mental Health

Social Emotional Development (Part 2)

This training will discuss the important building blocks of early childhood development, with a focus on how providers and parents can work with children to ensure the formation of healthy social skills, emotional regulation, behaviors, and relationships. The range of normative development will be considered (e.g., what a young child can experience emotionally; what behaviors are likely to be observed if they are invalidated or emotion-ally dismissed), as well as what supports are available when there are concerns about a child’s development.

Physiological Development: Meeting your Child’s Internal and External Needs (Part 3)

This training will discuss the Empowering Principles from Trust Based Relational Intervention. The Empowering Principles are designed to facilitate change in children by teaching them self-regulation skills. Utilizing physio-logical (internal) and ecological (external) strategies, this training will discuss issues surrounding sensory input and processing, hydration, blood glucose, transitions, and routines.
