Come meet your local Jefferson County farmers, and enjoy a free meal of Jeffco and Colorado grown ingredients! I am writing to invite you to Health from the Ground Up: Meet Your Local Farmers on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Lutheran Medical Center in Wheat Ridge from 6:00 – 8:00pm. This free community event, now in its second year, will feature several JeffCo farmers on hand to talk about their farming operations and the various opportunities they have to engage with local agriculture, including Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) or produce share operations, farm stand hours and locations for direct purchases (including processed items for purchase) and wholesale opportunities. The goal of this event is to benefit local farmers by increasing residents’ awareness, interest and participation in local agriculture and re-connect residents with food grown right in their community. We would love to invite you to attend this free event to meet several of the local farmers within our community and support the amazing urban agriculture work happening right here in Jefferson County!
