Anxiety In Children
Presentation will assist in differentiating between anxiety, learning disorders and ADHD symptoms, address cultural components and implications, and explore different types of anxiety disorders present in childhood and early childhood. We will also discuss attachment theory and styles and how this interplays with anxiety in young children. Interventions and supports that can be implemented both at home or in the classroom will be introduced and discussed.
1.5 hours Social and Emotional Development (TP 29.2. Implements appropriate guidance strategies, including relationship-based practices, to help children develop socially and emotionally and to mitigate the effects of stress, separation and transition.)
