about Child Care Licensing Rules and Regulations.

What to Expect:
A review of General Rules for Child Care Programs followed by
breakout sessions to review specific rules and regulations for: family
child care, child care centers, and school age child care.
Please have your rules & regulations available for reference.

Competencies addressed:
PDL 5.2 Uses local, state, and national professional resources to reflect
on, evaluate, and improve professional practices.
PDL 6.1 Identifies and participates in professional opportunities to
increase knowledge to improve practices.

Provider Updates:
Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies collect data on
child care supply and demand. This data may be used to:

• Help parents and providers understand average rates
  in given communities
• Help families understand options that best meet their
  needs
• Help inform recruitment efforts
• Gain information needed to receive funding for quality
  improvement, scholarships and support providers
• Help inform capacity building efforts
• Help determine training and support needs
• Help in communication and outreach to providers, including
  providing information about grants and other
  resources
• Help us advocate on behalf of early childhood professionals

Each licensed facility is contacted once a year per our contract
with the Colorado Department of Early Childhood.
