We are excited to offer this professional development opportunity designed by The National Center on Early Childhood Quality Assurance (ECQA Center) to strengthen provider’s foundational knowledge of sound fiscal management and business operations. Program directors, administrators, family child care providers and others interested in this area of focus are welcome to attend the series or independent sessions.
Wednesdays, 6:30pm-8:30pm
Pt. 1: August 4th – Budgets, Projections and Planning – Learn a process for building a budget and understand projection costs, while planning strategically for future goals.
Pt. 2: August 11th – Financial Reports and Internal Controls – Introduction to financial reports and internal controls which may strengthen program’s fiscal health.
Pt. 3: August 18th – Marketing for Child Care Programs – Take a deeper look at marketing efforts of the program and identify strategies to achieve greater success, become more cost effective and use time more efficiently.
Pt. 4: August 25th – Staff Recruitment and Retention – Learn best practices related to recruiting, interviewing and hiring new employees including the components of an effective orientation plan.
